Founded in 2016 by Hami Ngatai, Ngatai Electrical is a locally, family-owned business that specializes in Civil, Traffic Management & Electrical for all projects big & small in commercial, residential & industrial. Our team takes immense pride in our work and is committed to delivering the best service to our clients. We prioritize open and transparent communication, ensuring that our clients are informed and involved throughout the process. Our team of professionals is committed to completing projects on time and within budget, maintaining the highest quality standards.
We prioritize the safety of both workers and the general public. We deeply understand local regulations and industry best practices, ensuring that our civil & traffic management plans are efficient and effective. Our team is highly trained and equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to handle various challenges. We look after customers throughout the North Island from our base in Tauranga.

We have a wide range of vehicles, including: • JT30 Directional Drill• Vacuum Truck• Traffic Management Trucks • Tip Truck• Utility vehicles• Excavator All NEL Vehicles are fitted with emergency first aid kits and fire extinguishers. NEL Traffic Trucks have all traffic equipment, including Radio R/T, Flags, Night Light Traffic Wands, Sandbags, Cones, Bases, Stands, Signs, and pedestrian bars. NEL civil trucks have a range of hand tools and emergency spill kits.
